Getting to know with carbon soot:
Industrial soot with commercial name of carbon black is a valuable black martial from carbon family that is produced under controlled conditions during a specific process and with its unique properties has especial place in pigment production industries, master batch, ink and producing colors, and especially tire and elastomers.
This material, which has nano meter particles, is produced from incomplete burning of aromatic hydrocarbons in specific furnace and certain temperature and pressures and due to properties like bending strength, hardness and tearing resistance, it is under the focus of tire manufacturers.
Application of industrial soot:
Carbon soot, which is in the form of black powder, is used to protect against light, giving color and ink pigment, property of transmission. Soot is used in the production of ink and pigment, as well as rubber and plastic parts and has a role of qualitative determinant.
Consumption amount of this material in the production of rubber is about 20-25 of weight percent and in the industry of ink and pigment it is used about 10-15 of weight percent.
